Jamieson Manufacturing Co., of 2500 South Main St. Torrington,
CT was started in 1965 by Mr. Alfred J. Jamieson and remains a
privately held company. At this time we employ 25 personnel in a
modern 30,000 square foot facility. We are especially proud of
the fact that most of our employees have been with us from 10 to
20 years, providing us with a tremendous pool of experience and
allowing us to build complex, automated machinery.
Our plant is continuously upgraded to give our customers the benefits of state of the art technology and economies. All work inherent to the building of machinery is performed in house. We design, manufacture and assemble the machines and also build all control systems.
Progressive thinking and experience of our employees is also reflected in
the equipment we build. We are well known for our high quality, high production
rotary transfer machines in the metal removing field. Our Rotamat, Rotary
Transfer Machines for instance, rely on mechanical motions coupled with
state of the art electronic controls, to provide our customers with extreme
accuracy and reliability for many years. We like the fact that our customers
keep coming back. Some of them have 20 plus machines from us.
We are especially proud of our international success. Our combination Broaching
and Milling Machines for the drill chuck industry have cornered the world
market with 65 machines sold in England, France, Germany, Japan, China,
and the USA.
Please keep our flexibility in mind. We do not only build transfer machines
from 2 to 15 stations, in-line or rotary as mentioned above but also numerous
other special machines, either turnkey, or at considerable savings, component
packages. Our special machines perform metal removing operations, part assembling, laser and sonic welding, and automatic part transfer systems.
We are prepared to help you with your medium and high production automation
needs. We extend and invitation to visit our facility or give us a ring.
We will be happy to help you anytime,
Scott Jamieson, President
